I AM A FRIEND OF GOD
Verse: Who am I that you are mindful of me
That you hear me when I call Is it true that you are thinking of me How you love me, it’s amazing
Chorus: I am a friend of God, I am a friend of God
I am a friend of God, You call me friend
(Repeat verse then chorus 2 times then verse and continue below)
It’s amazing, it’s amazing (repeat chorus 2 times) You call me friend.
God almighty Lord of glory You have called me friend (repeat 6x)
I am a friend of God, I am a friend of God,
I am a friend of God, You call me friend (repeat 3x)
You call me friend, You call me friend, You call me friend.

YOU SAY
Verse: I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I’m not enough
Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up
Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low?
Remind me once again just who I am because I need to know
Chorus: You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak And You say I am held when I am falling short
And when I don’t belong, oh You say I am Yours
And I believe, oh I believe. What You say of me. I believe
Verse: The only thing that matters now is everything You think of me
In You I find my worth, in You I find my identity, o-ooh (chorus)
Verse: Taking all I have and now I’m laying it at Your feet
You have every failure God, and You’ll have every victory, o-ooh (Chorus)
Oh I believe. Yes I believe. What You say of me. Oh I believe

SHOUT TO THE LORD
My Jesus, my Saviour, Lord there is none like You,
All of my days I want to praise, the wonders of Your mighty love.
My comfort, my shelter, tower of refuge and strength,
Let every breath, all that I am, never cease to worship You.
Chorus: Shout to the Lord, All the earth let us sing
Power and majesty, Praise to the King.
Mountains bow down And the seas will roar
At the sound of Your name. I sing for joy at the work of Your hands.
Forever I’ll love You, Forever I’ll stand. Nothing compares to the promise I have in You.

WE ARE ONE IN THE SPIRIT

We are one in the Spirit, We are one in the Lord (repeat)
And we pray that all unity, May one day be restored
And they’ll know we are Christians, By our love, By our love
Yes, they’ll know we are Christians, By our love
We will work with each other, We will work side by side (repeat)
And we’ll guard each one’s dignity, And save each one’s pride
And they’ll know we are Christians, By our love, By our love
Yes, they’ll know we are Christians, By our love
We will walk with each other, We will walk hand in hand (repeat)
And together we’ll spread the news, That God is in our land
And they’ll know we are Christians, By our love, By our love
Yes, they’ll know we are Christians, By our love

Today’s Scripture
Calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said,
“Anyone who intends to come with me must take up
their cross and follow me. Don’t run from suffering; embrace
it. Follow me and I’ll show you how. Self-help is no help at all.
Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to saving yourself, your true self.
What good would it do to get everything you want and lose
you, the real you? What could you ever trade your soul for?
MARK 8:36-37
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:
The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who
reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry
of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself
in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them.
And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were
making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf:
Be reconciled to God.” 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17-20
In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets
at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he
has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all
things, and through whom also he made the universe. The Son
is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of
his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.
HEBREWS 1:1-3
