From generation to generation
We worship You! Hallelujah, Hallelujah!
We worship You for who You are
We worship You! Hallelujah, Hallelujah!
We worship You for who You are. You are good!
You are good all the time, all the time You are good
I AM NOT ALONE
Verse1 When I walk through deep waters, I know that You will be with me
When I’m standing in the fire I will not be overcome
Through the valley of the shadow, I will not fear
Chorus I am not alone. I am not alone
You will go before me, You will never leave me
I am not alone, I am not alone
You will go before me, You will never leave me
Verse2 In the midst of deep sorrow, I see Your light is breaking through
The dark of night will not overtake me, I am pressing into You
Lord, You fight my every battle, Oh, and I will not fear (Chorus)
VampYou amaze me, Redeem me, You call me as Your own (repeat 3x)
You’re my strength, You’re my defender, You’re my refuge in the storm
Through these trials, You’ve always been faithful, You bring healing to my soul
Repeat chorus 3x
Breathe
This is the air I breathe. This is the air I breathe.
Your holy presence living in me.
This is my daily bread. This is my daily bread.
Your very word spoken to me.
And I… I’m desperate for you.
And I… I’m lost without you.
This is the air I breathe. This is the air I breathe
Your holy presence living in me.
This is my daily bread. This is my daily bread.
Your very word spoken to me.
And I… I’m desperate for you. And I… I’m lost without you.
And I… I’m desperate for you. And I… I’m lost without you.
I’m lost without you. I’m lost without you.
I’m desperate for you. I’m desperate for you..
Today’s Scripture
So where can you find someone truly wise, truly
educated, truly intelligent in this day and age? Hasn’t
God exposed it all as pretentious nonsense? Since the world in all its
fancy wisdom never had a clue when it came to knowing God, God in his
wisdom took delight in using what the world considered dumb- preaching,
of all things, to bring those who trust him into the way of salvation.
While Jews clamor for miraculous demonstrations and Greeks go in for
philosophical wisdom, we go right on proclaiming Christ, the Crucified.
Jews treat this like an anti-miracle—and Greeks pass it off as absurd.
But to us who are personally called by God himself—both Jews and
Greeks—Christ is God’s ultimate miracle and wisdom all wrapped up
in one. Human wisdom is so tinny, so impotent, next to the seeming
absurdity of God. 1 CORINTHIANS 1:21-25
…and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being
rooted and grounded in love. I pray that you may have the power to
comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height
and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that
you may be filled with all the fullness of God. EPHESIANS 3:17-19
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your
hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. PHILLIPIANS 4:7
Watch out for people who try to dazzle you with big words and intellectual
double-talk. They want to drag you off into endless arguments that never
amount to anything. They spread their ideas through the empty traditions of
human beings and the empty superstitions of spirit beings. But that’s not the
way of Christ. Everything of God gets expressed in him, so you can see and
hear him clearly. You don’t need a telescope, a microscope, or a horoscope
to realize the fullness of Christ, and the emptiness of the universe without
him. When you come to him, that fullness comes together for you, too. His
power extends over everything.
Entering into this fullness is not something you figure out or achieve. It’s
not a matter of being circumcised or keeping a long list of laws. No, you’re
already in—insiders—not through some secretive initiation rite but rather
through what Christ has already gone through for you, destroying the
power of sin.
So don’t put up with anyone pressuring you in details of diet, worship
services, or holy days. All those things are mere shadows cast before what
was to come; the substance is Christ.
Don’t tolerate people who try to run your life, ordering you to bow and
scrape, insisting that you join their obsession with angels and that you seek
out visions. They’re a lot of hot air, that’s all they are. They’re completely out
of touch with the source of life, Christ, who puts us together in one piece,
whose very breath and blood flow through us. COLOSSIANS 2:8-19
