Our Affirmation of Faith
We believe in God the creator of us all, whose desire for
diversity is seen in the rainbow of humanity. With unrelenting
passion God Seeks to be in relationship with all of us.
We believe in Jesus the Christ, who is the embodiment of
God’s redeeming grace; And in the Holy Spirit through whom
that grace continues its restoring work.
We believe in the Church. It is the body of Christ on the earth
today. As ministers of this church, we are all called like Jesus,
to heal, to deliver, to teach, and to serve.
We believe that together we can change the world,
in our time and for all time Amen!

Affirmation Chorus: In This Place
In this place, There’s joy that I can’t explain
In this place, There’s healing for all my pain
There is love unlike I’ve ever known
Everybody here makes me feel at home
As we gather here, I know I’m not alone
I feel God’s presence, Moving in this place.

YOU ARE GOOD
Lord, You are good and Your mercy endureth forever.
Lord, You are good and Your mercy endureth forever.
People from every nation and tongue,
From generation to generation
We worship You! Hallelujah, Hallelujah!
We worship You for who You are
We worship You! Hallelujah, Hallelujah!
We worship You for who You are. You are good!
You are good all the time, all the time You are good

I AM NOT ALONE
Verse1 When I walk through deep waters,
I know that You will be with me
When I’m standing in the fire I will not be overcome
Through the valley of the shadow, I will not fear
Chorus I am not alone. I am not alone
You will go before me, You will never leave me
I am not alone, I am not alone
You will go before me, You will never leave me
Verse2 In the midst of deep sorrow,
I see Your light is breaking through
The dark of night will not overtake me,
I am pressing into You
Lord, You fight my every battle, Oh, and I will not fear
(Repeat Chorus)
Vamp
You amaze me, Redeem me, You call me as Your own (repeat 3x)
You’re my strength, You’re my defender,
You’re my refuge in the storm
Through these trials, You’ve always been faithful,
You bring healing to my soul (Repeat chorus 3x)

BREATHE
This is the air I breathe. This is the air I breathe.
Your holy presence living in me.
This is my daily bread. This is my daily bread.
Your very word spoken to me.
And I… I’m desperate for you.
And I… I’m lost without you.
This is the air I breathe. This is the air I breathe
Your holy presence living in me.
This is my daily bread. This is my daily bread.
Your very word spoken to me.
And I… I’m desperate for you. And I… I’m lost without you.
And I… I’m desperate for you. And I… I’m lost without you.
I’m lost without you. I’m lost without you.
I’m desperate for you. I’m desperate for you..

YOU SAY
I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I’m not enough
Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up
Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low?
Remind me once again just who I am because I need to know
You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, oh You say I am Yours
And I believe, I believe. What You say of me. I believe
The only thing that matters now is everything You think of me
In You I find my worth, in You I find my identity, o-ooh
You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, oh You say I am Yours
And I believe, oh I believe. What You say of me. I believe
Taking all I have and now I’m laying it at Your feet
You have every failure God, and You’ll have every victory, o-ooh
You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, oh You say I am Yours
And I believe, oh I believe. What You say of me. I believe
Oh I believe. Yes I believe. What You say of me. I believe

Today’s Scripture
Jesus returned to Galilee in the power
of the Spirit, and news about him spread
through the whole countryside. He taught in their
synagogues, and everyone praised him. He went to
Nazareth where he had been brought up. And on the
Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his
custom. And he stood up to read. The scroll of the
prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found
the place where it is written: “The Spirit of the Lord is on
me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news
to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the
prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the
oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant
and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were
fastened on him, and he began by saying to them, “Today
this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing. LUKE 4: 14-21
Then he turned to the host. “The next time you put on a
dinner, don’t just invite your friends and family and rich
neighbors, the kind of people who will return the favor.
Invite some people who never get invited out, the misfits
from the wrong side of the tracks. You’ll be—and experience
—a blessing. They won’t be able to return the favor, but
the favor will be returned—oh, how it will be returned!—
at the resurrection of God’s people.” LUKE 14:12-14
