Our Affirmation of Faith

We believe in God the creator of us all, whose desire for
diversity is seen in the rainbow of humanity. With unrelenting
passion God Seeks to be in relationship with all of us.
We believe in Jesus the Christ, who is the embodiment of
God’s redeeming grace; And in the Holy Spirit through whom
that grace continues its restoring work.
We believe in the Church. It is the body of Christ on the earth
today. As ministers of this church, we are all called like Jesus,
to heal, to deliver, to teach, and to serve.
We believe that together we can change the world,
in our time and for all time Amen!

Affirmation Chorus: In This Place
In this place, There’s joy that I can’t explain
In this place, There’s healing for all my pain
There is love unlike I’ve ever known
Everybody here makes me feel at home
As we gather here, I know I’m not alone
I feel God’s presence, Moving in this place..

YOUR LOVE IS BEAUTIFUL
You surrounded me with your songs of praise, You have brought me to this place
Where your love and grace, move within my life, Now Your message is my light
Chorus: Your love is beautiful, Your love is beautiful, It’s the reason why I sing
All around the world, let the praise begin, All around the world, let the praise begin
(BREAK) I am planted here by the waters and I am living for the King
I have found my place in the house of God, This is where I’m meant to be
Chorus 2: Your love is beautiful, Your love is beautiful, It’s the reason why I sing
All around the world, let the praise begin, All around the world, let the praise begin
All around the world, let the praise begin, All around the world, let the praise begin
(Long break then repeat Chorus 2)

ONCE AND FOR ALL
God I give You all I can today, These scattered ashes that I hid away
I lay it all, at Your feet
From the corners of my deepest shame, The empty places where I’ve worn
Your name. Show me the love I say I believe
Oh Help me to lay it down, Oh Lord I lay it down
Oh let this be where I die, My lord with thee crucified
Be lifted high as my Kingdom’s fall, Once and for all, once and for all
There is victory in my Saviors loss,
And In the crimson flowing from the cross, Pour over me, pour over me yes
Oh let this be where I die, My lord with thee crucified
Be lifted high as my Kingdom’s fall, Once and for all, once and for all
Oh Lord I lay it down, Oh Lord I lay it down
Help me to lay it down, Oh Lord I lay it down
Oh let this be where I die, My Lord with thee crucified
Be lifted high as my Kingdom’s fall,
Once and for all, Once and for all, Once and for all, Once and for all
ACAPELLA Oh let this be where I die, My Lord with thee crucified
Be lifted high as my Kingdom’s fall, Once and for all, Once and for all

I WON’T GO BACK
I’ve been changed, healed, freed, delivered, I’ve found joy, peace, grace and favor
I’ve been changed, healed, freed, delivered, I’ve found joy, peace, grace and favor
BRIDGE Right now is the moment, today is the day, I’ve been changed,
I’ve been changed. I have waited for this moment to come,
And I won’t let it pass me by
CHORUS I won’t go back, can’t go back to the way it used to be
Before your presence came and changed me I won’t go back, can’t go back to the way it used to be Before your presence came and changed me All my shame, guilt, sins, forgiven, No more chains, fear, my past is over
REPEAT BRIDGE THEN CHORUS (4X)
I won’t go back, can’t go back to the way it used to be
Before your presence came and changed me
I won’t go back, can’t go back to the way it used to be
Before your presence came and changed me

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
With what shall I come before the Lord and bow down before the exalted
God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old?
Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousand rivers of
olive oil? Shall I offer my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for
the sin of my soul? God has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does
the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly
with your God. MICAH 6:6-8
One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that
Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments,
which is the most important?”
“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our
God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all
your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this:
‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
“Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one
and there is no other but him. To love him with all your heart, with all your
understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself
is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” When Jesus saw that
he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of
God.” And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.
MARK 12:28-34
Anyone who sets himself up as “religious” by talking a good game is selfdeceived. Ths kind of religion is hot air and only hot air. Real religion, the kind
that passes muster before God the Father, is this: Reach out to the homeless
and loveless in their plight, and guard against corruption from the godless world.
JAMES 1:26-27
