Our Affirmation of Faith

We believe in God the creator of us all, whose desire for
diversity is seen in the rainbow of humanity. With unrelenting
passion God Seeks to be in relationship with all of us.
We believe in Jesus the Christ, who is the embodiment of
God’s redeeming grace; And in the Holy Spirit through whom
that grace continues its restoring work.
We believe in the Church. It is the body of Christ on the earth
today. As ministers of this church, we are all called like Jesus,
to heal, to deliver, to teach, and to serve.
We believe that together we can change the world,
in our time and for all time Amen!

Affirmation Chorus: In This Place
In this place, There’s joy that I can’t explain
In this place, There’s healing for all my pain
There is love unlike I’ve ever known
Everybody here makes me feel at home
As we gather here, I know I’m not alone
I feel God’s presence, Moving in this place..

GLORIA
The name of the Lord is a strong and mighty tower
Righteous run in and are safe, Heaven and earth
Are held within its power. Glory to His name!
The name of the Lord is an everlasting promise
Goodness and mercy and grace
Every nation will bow before Jesus,
Glory to His name!
Chorus: And we say Gloria, Gloria, Gloria.
Yesterday today and forever. Gloria (REPEAT)

YOUR LOVE IS EXTRAVAGANT
Verse: Your love is extravagant. Your friendship, it is intimate.
I feel I’m moving to the rhythm of Your grace
Your fragrance is intoxicating in the secret place.
Cause Your love is extravagant
Chorus: Spread wide in the arms of Christ there’s a love that covers sin No greater love have I ever known; You considered me a friend
Capture my heart again. (repeat verse and chorus)
Spread wide in the arms of Christ there’s a love that covers sin
No greater love have I ever known; You considered me a friend
Capture my heart again
Your love is extravagant. Your friendship, it is intimate.
WONDERFUL MERCIFUL SAVIOR
Wonderful, merciful Savior, Precious Redeemer and Friend
Who would have thought that a Lamb could rescue our
souls from sin. O could rescue our souls from sin
Counselor, Comforter, Keeper, Spirit we long to embrace
You offer hope when our hearts have hopelessly lost
the way… Oh, we’ve hopelessly lost the way
You are the One that we praise, You are the One we adore
You give the healing and grace our hearts always hunger for
Oh, our hearts always hunger for
Almighty, infinite Father, Faithfully loving Your own
Here in our weakness You find us Falling before Your throne
Oh, we’re falling before Your throne

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon.
A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord,
Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and
suffering terribly.” Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to
him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”
He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” The woman
came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said. He replied, “It is
not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”
“Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from
their master’s table.” Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great
faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that
moment. MATTHEW 15:21-28
If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t love,
I’m nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate. If I speak God’s Word with
power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day,
and if I have faith that says to a mountain, “Jump,” and it jumps, but I
don’t love, I’m nothing. If I give everything I own to the poor and even
go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten
nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m
bankrupt without love. 1 CORINTHIANS 13:1-7
