WELCOME & INVOCATION

Our Affirmation of Faith

We believe in God the creator of us all, whose desire for
diversity is seen in the rainbow of humanity. With unrelenting
passion God Seeks to be in relationship with all of us.
We believe in Jesus the Christ, who is the embodiment of
God’s redeeming grace; And in the Holy Spirit through whom
that grace continues its restoring work.
We believe in the Church. It is the body of Christ on the earth
today. As ministers of this church, we are all called like Jesus,
to heal, to deliver, to teach, and to serve.
We believe that together we can change the world,
in our time and for all time Amen!

Affirmation Chorus: In This Place
In this place, There’s joy that I can’t explain
In this place, There’s healing for all my pain
There is love unlike I’ve ever known
Everybody here makes me feel at home
As we gather here, I know I’m not alone
I feel God’s presence, Moving in this place..

Verse1 When I walk through deep waters, I know that You will be with me
When I’m standing in the fire I will not be overcome
Through the valley of the shadow, I will not fear
Chorus I am not alone. I am not alone
You will go before me, You will never leave me
I am not alone, I am not alone
You will go before me, You will never leave me
Verse2 In the midst of deep sorrow, I see Your light is breaking through
The dark of night will not overtake me, I am pressing into You
Lord, You fight my every battle, Oh, and I will not fear (Chorus)
Vamp You amaze me, Redeem me, You call me as Your own (repeat 3x)
You’re my strength, You’re my defender, You’re my refuge in the storm
Through these trials, You’ve always been faithful, You bring healing to my soul
Repeat chorus 3x

3. SHOUT TO THE LORD

My Jesus, my Saviour, Lord there is none like You,
All of my days I want to praise, the wonders of Your mighty love.
My comfort, my shelter, tower of refuge and strength,
Let every breath, all that I am, never cease to worship You.
CHORUS: Shout to the Lord, All the earth let us sing Power and majesty, Praise to the King. Mountains bow down And the seas will roar At the sound of Your name. I sing for joy at the work of Your hands.
Forever I’ll love You, Forever I’ll stand. Nothing compares to the promise I have in You.

There’s nothing worth more
That will ever come close
No thing can compare
You’re our living hope
Your presence

CHORUS

I’ve tasted and seen
Of the sweetest of loves
Where my heart becomes free
And my shame is undone
Your presence Lord

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective…..

Words like Jewish and non-Jewish, religious and irreligious, insider and outsider, uncivilized and uncouth, slave and free, mean nothing. From now on everyone is defined by Christ, everyone is included in Christ…… So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.

Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way.
