You call me friend, You call me friend, You call me friend.
SHOUT TO THE LORD
My Jesus, my Saviour, Lord there is none like You,
All of my days I want to praise, the wonders of Your mighty love.
My comfort, my shelter, tower of refuge and strength,
Let every breath, all that I am, never cease to worship You.
CHORUS: Shout to the Lord, All the earth let us sing
Power and majesty, Praise to the King.
Mountains bow down And the seas will roar
At the sound of Your name.
I sing for joy at the work of Your hands.
Forever I’ll love You, Forever I’ll stand.
Nothing compares to the promise I have in You.
“I THEN SHALL LIVE”
I then shall live as one who’s been forgiven;
I’ll walk with joy to know my debts are paid.
I know my name is clear before my Father;
I am His child, and I am not afraid.
So greatly pardoned, I’ll forgive my brother,
The law of love I gladly will obey.
I then shall live as one who’s learned compassion;
I’ve been so loved that I’ll risk loving too.
I know how fear builds walls instead of bridges;
I’ll dare to see another’s point of view.
And when relationship demand commitment,
Then I’ll be there to care and follow through.
Your kingdom come around and through and in me;
Your power and glory, let them shine through me;
Your Hallowed name, O may I bear with honor,
And may You living Kingdom come in me.
The Bread of Life, O may I share with honor,
And may You feed a hungry world through me.
Amen. Amen. Amen
Today’s Scripture
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your
neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you:
Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
that you may be sons and daughters of your loving parent
in heaven who causes the sun to rise on the evil and the
good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
If you love those who love you, what reward will you get?
Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet
only your brothers, what are you doing more than others?
Do not even pagans do that? MATTHEW 5:43-47
Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from
God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows
God… Beloved, since God loved us so much,
we also ought to love one another…
God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God,
and God abides in them.
Love has been perfected among us in this;
that we may have boldness on the Day of Judgment,
because as God is, so are we in the world.
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear;
for fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears
has not reached perfection in love.
We love because God first loved us.
Those who say, “I love God.” and hate their sisters or
brothers, are liars; and those who do not love their
brother or sister whom they have seen, cannot love God
whom they have not seen.
The commandment we have from God is this:
Those who love God must love their sisters and brothers
also. 1 JOHN 4:7,11,16-21
