WONDERFUL PEACE
Verse 1: Far away in the depths of my spirit tonight Rolls a
melody sweeter than psalm; In celestial strains it
unceasingly falls O’er my soul like an infinite calm.
Chorus:Peace, peace, wonderful peace, Coming down from the
Father above! Sweep over my spirit forever,
I pray In fathomless billows of love!
Verse 2: What a treasure I have in this wonderful peace,
Buried deep in the heart of my soul, So secure that no
power can mine it away, While the years of eternity roll!
Today’s Scripture
“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion?
Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life.
I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work
with me–watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of
grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep
company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
MATTHEW 11:28-30
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.
Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again
by a yoke of bondage. GALATIANS 5:1
recall those earlier days when, after you had been enlightened,
you endured a hard struggle with sufferings, sometimes being
publicly exposed to abuse and persecution, and sometimes
being partners with those so treated. …. Do not, therefore,
abandon that confidence of yours; it brings a great reward.
For you need endurance, so that when you have done the will
of God, you may receive what was promised.
HEBREWS 10:32,33,35-36
