Our Affirmation of Faith

We believe in God the creator of us all, whose desire for
diversity is seen in the rainbow of humanity. With unrelenting
passion God Seeks to be in relationship with all of us.
We believe in Jesus the Christ, who is the embodiment of
God’s redeeming grace; And in the Holy Spirit through whom
that grace continues its restoring work.
We believe in the Church. It is the body of Christ on the earth
today. As ministers of this church, we are all called like Jesus,
to heal, to deliver, to teach, and to serve.
We believe that together we can change the world,
in our time and for all time Amen!

Affirmation Chorus: In This Place
In this place, There’s joy that I can’t explain
In this place, There’s healing for all my pain
There is love unlike I’ve ever known
Everybody here makes me feel at home
As we gather here, I know I’m not alone
I feel God’s presence, Moving in this place..

THANK YOU, THANK YOU JESUS
Chorus: Thank you Thank you Jesus, For all you’ve done for me
Thank you Thank you Jesus, You’ve been so good to me (repeat)
My soul looks back in wonder, How you brought me over
I just want to say, THANK YOU (REPEAT ALL) (PRAISE TEAM SINGS VERSES)

GOD IS HERE
Verse 1 There is a sweet anointing in this sanctuary
There is a stillness in the atmosphere
Come and lay down the burdens you have carried
For in this sanctuary God is here (repeat 2x)
Chorus God is here, God is here
To break the yoke and lift the heavy burden
God is here, God is here
To heal the hopeless heart and bless the broken
Come and lay down the burdens you have carried
For in this sanctuary God is here (repeat chorus)
Acappella Come and lay down the burdens you have carried For in this sanctuary God is here

BROKEN VESSELS (AMAZING GRACE)

Verse 1: All these pieces, Broken and scattered, In mercy gathered,
Mended and whole, Empty handed, But not forsaken
I’ve been set free, I’ve been set free
Chorus: Amazing grace, How sweet the sound, That saved a one like me,
I once was lost, But now I’m found, Was blind but now I see
Oh I can see you now, Oh I can see the love in Your eyes
Laying yourself down, Raising up the broken to life (pause)
Verse 2: You take our failure. You take our weakness, You set Your treasure,
In jars of clay… So take this heart, Lord, I’ll be Your vessel
The world to see, Your life in me (Repeat Chorus 3x)

Today’s Scripture
Blessed are those who are persecuted because
of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say
all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because
great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted
the prophets who were before you. MATTHEW 5:10-12
“When people realize it is the living God you are presenting and
not some idol that makes them feel good, they are going to turn
on you, even people in your own family. There is a great irony here:
proclaiming so much love, experiencing so much hate! But don’t
quit. Don’t cave in. It is all well worth it in the end.”
MATTHEW 10:21-22
“Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude
you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the
Son of Man! Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your
reward is great in heaven; for so their fathers did to the prophets.”
LUKE 6:22-23
And all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
2 TIMOTHY 3:12
If with heart and soul you’re doing good, do you think you can be
stopped? Even if you suffer for it, you’re still better off. Don’t give
the opposition a second thought. Through thick and thin, keep your
hearts at attention, in adoration before Christ, your Master. Be ready
to speak up and tell anyone who asks why you’re living the way you
are, and always with the utmost courtesy. Keep a clear conscience
before God so that when people throw mud at you, none of it will
stick. They’ll end up realizing that they’re the ones who need a bath.
It’s better to suffer for doing good… than to be punished for doing
bad. That’s what Christ did definitively: suffered because of others’
sins, the Righteous One for the unrighteous ones. PETER 3:13-17
