Sunday Celebration 03/24/2024
WELCOME & INVOCATION
Our Affirmation of Faith
We believe in God the creator of us all, whose desire for
diversity is seen in the rainbow of humanity. With unrelenting
passion God Seeks to be in relationship with all of us.
We believe in Jesus the Christ, who is the embodiment of
God’s redeeming grace; And in the Holy Spirit through whom
that grace continues its restoring work.
We believe in the Church. It is the body of Christ on the earth
today. As ministers of this church, we are all called like Jesus,
to heal, to deliver, to teach, and to serve.
We believe that together we can change the world,
in our time and for all time Amen!
Affirmation Chorus: In This Place
In this place, There’s joy that I can’t explain
In this place, There’s healing for all my pain
There is love unlike I’ve ever known
Everybody here makes me feel at home
As we gather here, I know I’m not alone
I feel God’s presence, Moving in this place..
SING AND CELEBRATE:
1. EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH
2. AT THE CROSS
I know You love me… Your holy presence, Surrounding me,
In every season, I know You love me. I know You love me…
CHORUS: At the cross I bow my knee, where Your blood was shed for me
There’s no greater love than this. You have overcome the grave,
Your glory fills the highest place, What can separate me now…
You go before me, You shield my way. Your hand upholds me, I know You love me…
Verse:You tore the veil. You made a way. when you said that it is done(repeat verse)
And when the earth fades, Falls from my eyes, and You stand before me.
I know You love me. I know You love me…(repeat from chorus)
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it. As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road. When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!” “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. LUKE 19:35-42
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather you children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! MATTHEW 23:37
